Areas of Clinical Interest
Life can ask us to carry more than we ever expected. Sometimes we adapt by pushing through, taking care of everyone else, minimizing our own needs, or simply surviving the best way we know how. While these strategies often develop for good reason, they can eventually leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or uncertain about who we are outside of survival.
Chanel approaches therapy through a trauma-informed, person-centered, and relational lens. She believes healing happens when we are given space to understand our experiences with compassion rather than judgment. Therapy can become a place to make meaning of difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, build practical skills, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that may have been lost along the way.
Her areas of clinical interest include trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, dissociation, attachment and relationship concerns, identity development, life transitions, and helping individuals cultivate self-trust, resilience, and a life aligned with their values.
Practice Areas
Chanel provides therapy services for adolescents (16+) and adults utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
Personal Statement
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to tell you who to be or what choices to make, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, honesty, and compassion as you navigate the challenges that brought you to therapy.
Clients often describe me as genuine, direct, approachable, and easy to talk to. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be authentic, while also feeling challenged to grow in ways that align with your goals and values. I value humor, creativity, metaphors, and practical strategies, and I believe therapy should be tailored to the unique needs of each individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether you’re experiencing the impact of trauma, struggling with anxiety or intense emotions, navigating relationship difficulties, questioning your identity, or moving through a major life transition, my hope is that our work together helps you gain deeper understanding, strengthen your ability to cope, and build a life that feels meaningful and worth living.
