Education/Experience
Josef is in the process of finishing his Master’s degree for Counseling Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University and is looking forward to completing his Practicum and Internship courses with Harmony Health.
Specialized Training
Josef has completed training in Anchored Relational formerly Adaptive Internal Relational (AIR) Network, a trauma-informed model of therapy designed by trauma experts at the Midwest Center for Trauma and Healing. Anchored Relational focuses on working to promote client dignity by harnessing their adaptive strengths for healing. Josef is looking to soon achieve certification in this practice along with other therapeutic techniques as he continues to develop and grow his counseling skill repertoire.
Areas of Clinical Interest
Josef believes in the healing power of relationships, imagination, collaboration and creativity. Josef is interested in working with individuals who have experienced trauma to find adaptive strategies for living that reflect their current situation while honoring survival strategies of the past. He has an interest in working with individuals from all backgrounds to explore, understand, and grow through all manner of life experiences including trauma, anxiety, depression, loss/grief, life transitions, school challenges, relationship issues among many others. He is also interested in working with men to process issues specific to their life experience and cultivate tools for working through challenging emotional situations.

Personal Statement
As I continue to work towards becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), my goal is to create a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, safe, non-judgmental and collaborative. In my experience as a professional actor previous to studying psychology, I have seen and believe in the healing power of creativity and imagination. I am excited to use my counseling training to honor the dignity of others, empower their strengths as tools for healing, and help people to find enjoyment on their life journey.
