Education
Amanda Westpfahl completed her master’s-level training at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, where she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. Her master’s-level therapy practicum was completed at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation in St. Paul, MN, where she provided individual and family therapy services to a diverse range of clients across the lifespan.
Amanda’s doctoral therapy practicum training was conducted at Open Cities Health Center, a community-based, multidisciplinary clinic serving inner-city populations. She is currently completing her doctoral assessment practicum at Minerva Center for Psychological Services, where she conducts comprehensive cognitive and behavioral evaluations for teens and adults. Amanda is under the supervision of Phyllis Solon, PsyD, LP.
Specialized Training
Amanda offers services both via telehealth and in person at the Vadnais Heights location.
She has completed over 50 hours of advanced training in the Anchored Relational (formerly AIR Network) model of treatment, designed to address the needs of individuals experiencing complex trauma, complex PTSD, and neuro-dissociative challenges.
Areas of Clinical Interest
Amanda’s clinical interests include trauma and attachment healing, neurodiversity and dissociative disorders, anxiety and performance issues, family and parental support, and identity development and existential concerns.
Amanda welcomes individuals of all orientations, genders, and cultural backgrounds, striving to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their most authentic selves.

“I am a cisgender white woman who uses she/her pronouns. I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan, taking an integrative approach to tailor services to each client’s unique needs. My practice is grounded in a multicultural feminist framework, with a gentle approach that fosters connection and healing.
I have a special interest in addressing cultural and historical trauma, early attachment wounding, and fostering a sense of belonging. When appropriate, I enjoy incorporating humor, arts and crafts, movement, meditation, and breathwork into sessions.”
