Helping Children, Families, and Individuals Heal From Trauma in Minnesota
Harmony Mental Health is a community-based mental health clinic focused on children, adolescents, and families. We are a trauma-focused group dedicated to providing individual, couples, family, and parenting support, utilizing a respectful, straight-forward, and culturally-sensitive approach.
We are determined to provide evidence-based services and exceptional communication. We seek to maintain the highest regard for dignity, respect, and privacy. We value developing supportive, professional relationships with our clients, the schools they attend, the doctors that refer to us, and our clients’ families.
We strive to provide highly responsive customer service to referring providers, individuals, and organizations concerned with our clients’ care. We wish to provide an environment for staff, clients, and other professionals that is enjoyable to work in, stylistic, and free of discrimination, harassment, and social injustice.
Harmony Mental Health Anti-Racism Statement
The Harmony Mental Health team stands in solidarity with individuals and communities impacted by hate speech and violence. We condemn racist, anti-immigrant, and anti-trans political rhetoric. We denounce discriminatory policies and practices.
It is our stance that change is necessary to further justice for oppressed communities, and that the pace of change must be accelerated. Words are not enough; action is required at all levels—individual, institutional, and systemic. These actions must be grounded in an acknowledgment of the privilege conferred upon each of us by our proximity to power. White people, in particular, must recognize the role that White privilege plays in shaping opportunities and outcomes. White supremacy is a throughline in the history of the United States. Our nation was built on land secured through the genocide of indigenous peoples; its economy bloomed on the backs of enslaved persons of African descent. The tragedies of recent years—the murders of Black Americans by police officers; the scapegoating of Asian Americans during Covid-19; legislation withholding essential health care from trans youth—demonstrate the tenacity of White supremacist ideas and systems.
At Harmony Mental Health, we understand that individual healing is not enough. We must also repair or rebuild the systems and structures responsible for ongoing harm. We cannot be satisfied with the status quo. We will continue to grow in our own awareness and advocacy, so that we can join in the creation of a more just and equitable society.
